LG G8 ThinQ Releases in the US on April 11th, Features Several Xperi Tech

We are excited to announce that our partner LG is releasing their newest flagship smartphone – the LG G8 ThinQ – to US consumers on April 11th. The smartphone made a strong impression earlier this year, when it was unveiled at Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2019.

The LG G8 ThinQ will come fitted with several premium Xperi technologies. FotoNation FaceSafe technology powers the G8’s secure face unlock. FotoNation 3D Portrait underlies a unique relighting feature, one that allows you to move the light source to any location in the picture while maintaining realistic contrast, highlights and shadows. DTS Headphone:X Ultra brings cinematic and immersive 3D audio to your smartphone listening experience.

In addition, the LG G8 ThinQ uses a ToF 3D front facing sensor to bring users hands-free capabilities. The phone can be opened, take a screenshot, turn up and down music, and more all with simple gestures.

Additional specs include:

  • 128 GB storage, expandable up to 512 GB with microSD and 6 GB of RAM
  • Dual rear camera set up (12 MP and 16 MP) with an 8 MP selfie camera
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset
  • 3,500 mAh battery with Qi wireless charging compatibility

The LG G8 ThinQ will be available on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile. The MSRP price is set at $819.99, although many carriers are providing special offers.

T-Mobile is selling the smartphone at $619.99, with an additional $310 savings with a qualified trade-in.

Verizon is offering up to $1000 in bundled savings by selecting the monthly payment option ($350), activating it with Verizon Unlimited ($200 Prepaid Master Card) and with select trade-ins when switching ($450).

AT&T is giving away the phone for free with a purchase of AT&T Next with wireless.

Sprint is providing a $150 Gift Card when customers lease a G8 ThinQ on their carrier and purchase $75 in accessories.
